The New Easy Rider and Captain Gallia offer premier fishing trips along the California Coast and throughout San Francisco Bay. Based in Berkeley, our sport fishing operation runs world-class open load trips and private group charters targeting the Bay Area’s most popular species. We troll for King Salmon and mooch (drift fish) when conditions are right, using specialized equipment to maximize success during salmon season.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced angler, we make your trip easy and enjoyable. Just bring food, drinks, and layered clothing. We provide the bait and expert guidance. We have rod rentals and tackle available for purchase on the boat.
Full day trips depart early in the morning and fish until limits are reached or the day concludes. Our crew assists with everything including baiting hooks and handling fish, and we clean your catch before returning to the harbor.
We specialize in King Salmon along the San Mateo and Marin coastlines, live bait fishing for striped bass and halibut in San Francisco Bay, and rockfish and lingcod using live bait or light tackle. When conditions allow, we also run offshore trips toward the Farallon Islands for deep blue water action. Many of our regular anglers book well in advance, so we recommend reserving early.
